Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Best-selling writer for children and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The firm did not confirm the motivations for this action, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
